Ava Hu

Ava Hu is a bilingual reporter focusing on data reporting and local accountability stories. She's been working on immigration, climate and public records. She has covered immigration issues for The Guardian. At DSE she is creating data visualizations and other communications materials to help disseminate our research and tools to non-technical audiences.

Hu holds a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and marketing from Syracuse University and is pursuing a master’s degree in data reporting at UC Berkeley's Graduate School of Journalism.
