
Neenma Ebeledike

Neenma Ebeledike is a Nigerian video and photojournalist passionate about amplifying the voices of marginalized communities. Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Journalism at UC Berkeley, Neenma focuses on storytelling that highlights social justice issues, environmental challenges, and cultural resilience. She is a journalism fellow with the Eric and Wendy Schmidt Center for Data Science and Environment (DSE).
A skilled communicator and storyteller, Neenma combines her journalism and cinematography expertise to create compelling narratives. Her thesis film is a documentary titled Allensworth Rising: A Fight for Water, which explores the environmental injustices in Allensworth, California, and a feature on the role of Black midwives and doulas in combating maternal healthcare disparities.
Her work has earned her recognition, including the Ida B. Wells Investigative Reporting Fellowship, and she continues to refine her craft, inspired by her mission to tell stories that matter.
