National Park Service Resist-Accept-Direct (RAD) Framework

Management strategies in the National Park Service (NPS) have historically focused on conservation and restoration efforts, but in the face of increasing climate pressure, managers are increasingly forced to prioritize their resource use. Working within the newly adopted RAD (Resist-Accept-Direct) framework, park managers need data driven support to address and prioritize their management decisions.

DSE has partnered with NPS to assess the most pressing management challenges faced by parks in the West and across the Pacific Islands, and build support tooling to utilize NPS data to begin to answer these questions.
